We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team as part of Pendle Education Trust. The successful applicant will be based at Pendle Primary Academy in the first instance.

Specific duties will include:

  • Supporting classroom teachers to deliver the curriculum to all children, including those with SEND.
  • Supporting designated students with special needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties and ASD
  • Assisting the class teacher, SENDCo and specialist teacher with the monitoring of students’ progress and the identification and preparation of appropriate materials and resources for teaching purposes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualification
  • 4 GCSEs at grade C including Maths and English
  • Experience of working with children in an Education or Childcare environment
  • Experienced/ trained first aider (desirable)

Hours – 32.5 hours per week, term time only

Salary – TA2a (Grade 4) – £18,933 – £19,698 per annum (£14,133 – £14,715 after pro-rata)
