We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team as part of Pendle Education Trust. The successful applicant will be based at Casterton Primary Academy.

Specific duties will include:

  • To assist in the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials, resources and equipment, as directed by the Teacher and assist pupils in their use.
  • To assist the class teacher with the monitoring of students’ progress and the identification and preparation of appropriate materials and resources for teaching purposes
  • To assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualification
  • 4 GCSEs at grade C including Maths and English (desirable)
  • Experience of working with children in an Education or Childcare environment
  • Experienced/ trained first aider (desirable)
  • Bilingual in English and Punjabi / Urdu (desirable)

Salary £18,933 – £19,698 per annum pro-rata, term time

Fixed term until 31st August 2022

Hours 33.5 hours per week, term time only
